Alter lamps are made from a single sheet of aluminium that has been hammered against a shape to create a shade that seamlessly emerges from a flat starting point. This creates a shifting appearance inthe aluminium, introducing a human touch to the design. By altering the material by hand, an element of unpredictability is introduced, making each lamp unique. The wall version is made using a single shade, whereas the pendant consists of a connected pair.
