The meal no. 4
With a focus on preserving traditional crafts, the quality and aesthetic value of handmade products, Anette has been working with each individual object as one unique piece. The work is a composition of different ceramic objects and porcelain tiles. The work she presents at Ventura Lambrate is only one of many ways to show it. Combined with food and the visitors’ hands moving the image, it will continuously change.
The meal is a meeting point and a stage. With the endless options to change the objects into different compositions, the work opens up for each individual’s perception on how to use it.
Born in Fredrikstad and now based in Oslo, interdisciplinary artist Anette Krogstad holds a bachelor’s degree in product design and a master’s in ceramics. She works at the intersection of art, design and craft, and her projects are often inspired by food and our relationships with and around it. Her tableware has been commissioned by a number of restaurants
– including Pjoltergeist, Lysverket and the Michelin- starred Ylajali – and she has been involved in both the ceramics and concept development behind pop-up events including Restaurant Day, Ete Supper Club and Lysverket Friends.
